What I did was use a can of Canned Air and sprayed it into the slot. Even when it makes no sense, and I'm certain my media is good. I run a late 2007 model 2.2Ghz MacBook Pro and Leopard 10.5.8 Err... This has happend the second time now after updating to OS X 10.6.8.

I have Googled extensively and tried all sorts of crazy ideas. Have tried restarting the Finder, restarting the machine and am using two different brands of DVDs.
