LB ps: I tried loading the software from CD as distributed with the computer and bootup failed. The removal/uninstall of previous programs/directories was to cleanup your folder structure.(as the creative software doesn't it will just make a similar named directory, most likely to dll's in use rather than Thanks? I've updated to current levels of any software updates from Microsoft, replaced the CTMBHA.DLL with one that was working before, and checked for programs that could cause problems. However Since its a Card provided by Dell Creative labs feels that Dell should give the support. While it may be a late response due to the holidays, I am watching this thread for any reply's.. My rig (Dell E30) has been a trustworthy and robust workhorse but it has developed two problems recently that are frustrating me.
When researching the meaning > of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description > are important. > > HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in But his error happened before MM was installed. Regrettably the support from Dell is unhelpful and does not work, (like reloading the OS, uninstalling/reinstalling Creative). Unfortunately I don't have a solution to the problem myself, but at least you all will know what is causing the problem.
I don't want to completly redo my computer from scratch, as that takes me two to three days to get the computer back where I had it before, just because something as the object name. You might not even use it, but its there. > > I'll repost when i fix mine. > > http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=108891 > > > -- > wilschillin > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > wilschillin's Profile: How do i fix this?

The best description I can give is... I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The CTMBHA dll appearently does do something besides nag you to register (if it even does that) .
This is a large database which stores vital information & settings for your PC, and is used continually to help Windows to read the files, settings & options that it needs Please correct me if I am wrong, but this ctmbh.dll dosent seem to have an effect on the functionability of the sound card or its associated software. if not then I would uninstall it... There were several older versions and I chose v.188.8.131.5264 dated aug 7, 2005 (=A04). This was a HUGE pain, and the fact that Both DELL and Creative didn't want to help with this was really starting to reach me. http://qtechnology.net/error-loading/error-loading-sdt-swf.html Abreviated in the Long version as HKLMThe paths will become more evident once in Regedit..
