In many instances, a Windows Update Error 0x8024400a Windows Xp error code could have multiple Windows Update Error 0x8024400a Windows Xp parameters.
this worked perfectly to fix my problem! Until this last error I got which was this one (0x8024400A), and I desided that this one was going to be it & I was through. Any amount below that might prevent the swap file from expanding when required, due to inadequate free space. I had this problem, and struggled with it for a while.
